USG Offers Leadership Scholarship Award
The USG Future Leader Scholarship Award is being offered for the first time this semester. Two students who display outstanding leadership qualities and community service will be awarded $1000 to help pay school expenses. Students who will be full-time undergraduate students in their sophomore through senior year at Buffalo State in Fall 2010 are eligible. Applications are available in the USG Office (Union 402), the Student Life Office (Union 400), and at the Union Information Desk. They must be completed and submitted to USG Treasurer Mavraj's mailbox in Union 402 by March 12.

Student Election Information
The application period for candidates in the Buffalo State student elections has passed. Students will begin campaigning after a mandatory candidates meeting on March 11. Voting will take place April 6 through 9 in the Union Lobby. For more information see the Student Elections page.

Changes in the USG Game Room!
The Game Room in the lower level of the Student Union got a facelift over the winter break with a new paint scheme and some new game features. Guitar Hero is now a video game option and two dozen new board games were added to those available for students to sign out. The traditional games like chess, checkers, and dominoes are on hand as well as popular pastimes including Monopoly, Clue, and Life - and even Rock'em Sock'em Robots! Coming soon: big-screen cable TV! Stop in during your next trip through the Union!
