The two lodges at camp each have a large common area, a fireplace, a large kitchen, comfortable bunk rooms and separate men's and women's bathrooms with showers.
The kitchens have large refrigerators, freezers, ovens and stoves, microwaves, sinks, and coffee-makers and are equipped with pots, pans and other cooking utensils plus dishes, cups and mugs.
The Laug Lodge has a large rectangular great room with bunk rooms on either side to accommodate 38 overnight guests. The Alaimo Lodge features an L-shaped common room with bunk rooms on two levels separated from the common area. Alaimo sleeps 60 guests. There are outdoor porches and barbecue areas at both lodges.
Whispering Pines includes 615 acres of forests, hills, meadows, streams, and ponds. Several marked trails take hikers through the various natural features of the property (let the camp manager know if you want a guided hike). A lean-to, a board walk, and a gazebo are among the man-made features on some of the hikeing trails. The land is shared by deer, many species of birds, and myriad small critters.
In addition to hiking, outdoor activities at Whispering Pines include, campfires in specified locations, fishing in one of the stocked ponds, a new basketball court and space for volleyball, touch football, sledding and other recreation.
Indoors visitors can relax by the fireplaces in the lodges and take their time preparing meals in the spacious kitchens. Smart Carts with CD players and DVD projectors are available at an additional rental cost upon request.

As noted above, cooking utensils and plates, cups, and silverware are provided in the lodges for your convenience. You are required to clean the utensils and leave them stored as you found them. We have a short "What You Need" video that will show you what you'll need to bring with you when you spend time at Whispering Pines.
