Looking for a student leadership position where you can gain experience and earn some income? Consider applying for one of the below paid campus positions for the 2022 – 2023 academic year. Yes, these positions would start next year but you need to apply for them now!
The following STUDENT POSITIONS are available in the United Students Government (USG): The USG Executive Board* positions are all paid positions and must complete 6- 10 hours a week.
USG President*- meets with Buffalo State Administration to better campus as well as runs weekly senate meetings.
USG Executive Vice President* - works with business staff to oversee day to day operations of USG.
USG Treasurer* - works with business staff to manage USG and Organization budgets.
USG Vice President for Organization Relations* - communicates and works with the senate, student organizations, and campus administration on advocacy for students and our organizations. As well as overseeing the USG organizations.
USG Vice President for Public Relations* - runs the USG social media, marketing, and advertising.
USG Vice President for Campus Programming* - responsible for planning all the USG campus-wide programs of interest for commuter and resident students.
USG Senator (30 student positions available) - help plan campus activities, support campus organizations, advocate for students! (One meeting a week during the semester)
If time is a concern, consider one of the below positions. These are not paid but involve less of a time commitment and still give you the resume boost and experience.
Apply today to join committees that decide campus grant allocations:
Faculty Student Association (couple meetings per semester)
Grant Allocation Committee (couple meetings per semester)
Be the only student who sits on the College Council and meets with the Board of Directors. (4 meetings a year)
Apply to be one of 10 students who are on the College Senate. Meet once a month during semester.
Or apply for the Intercollegiate Athletics Board Non-Competitor or At-large positions. (One meeting a month)
Looking to make some changes on campus apply to sit on the Auxiliary Services Advisory Committee. (Couple meetings a semester)
Want to lobby for students at the SUNY level? Apply to be one of two Student Assembly Delegates and work with SUNY SA. (One conference per semester)
