Anthropology Society

The Anthropology Society is open to all undergraduate students, regardless of major or minor. The organization promotes understanding of archaeology, cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, and linguistic anthropology.

The society aims to build unity among students while increasing awareness of anthropological topics and encouraging cultural and self-awareness, personal responsibility, and collaboration. Members also have opportunities to participate in anthropology-related activities, guest lectures, trips, and events.

Astro Geo Club

Astronomy Geology Club

The Astronomy and Geology Club brings together students interested in space, Earth sciences, and related fields in a fun and engaging environment. The organization hosts a variety of campus events and social activities open to all Buffalo State University students while also encouraging academic exploration in geology, astronomy, geography, and other scientific topics.

The club promotes collaborative learning and a shared curiosity about both the planet beneath us and the universe beyond it. Open to all majors and minors, the Astronomy and Geology Club welcomes anyone interested in science, discovery, and community.

Bengals Passionate About Education (BPE)

Bengals Passionate About Education (BPE) is a student-led organization that provides volunteer opportunities, social events, and educational workshops for education majors and students interested in the field of education. The organization supports teacher candidates in building connections with peers and education professionals while gaining meaningful, hands-on experience.

BPE also offers opportunities to engage with diverse student populations, including students with exceptionalities, helping members develop inclusive teaching practices and a deeper understanding of the field.

Chemistry Forensics Club

The Chemistry–Forensics Club provides a space for science-focused students to connect with peers who share similar academic interests. The organization helps students build meaningful relationships and professional networks that support their success throughout their time at Buffalo State University.

The club hosts a variety of hands-on, experiment-based activities both on and off campus throughout the academic year and welcomes all interested students to attend general interest meetings. Members also support one another academically through informal tutoring and study assistance, creating a collaborative environment for learning and growth.

Coalition for Ceramic Designers

Coalition for Ceramic Designers

The Coalition for Ceramic Design is a student organization dedicated to promoting education and engagement in the ceramic arts. It offers opportunities to learn from nationally recognized artists through demonstrations, lectures, workshops, kiln firings, and exhibitions, as well as collaborative projects and gallery showcases.

Members may also attend the annual National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference. Open to all majors and experience levels, the organization welcomes anyone interested in exploring ceramic arts.

Guitar Club

Guitar Club

The Buffalo State Guitar Club (BSGC) provides a welcoming and supportive environment for students interested in learning, playing, and appreciating guitar and music. Open to students of all skill levels, the organization encourages musical growth, creativity, and collaboration, with no prior guitar experience required.

Through performances, workshops, guest artists, and open discussions featuring local and nationally recognized musicians from a variety of genres, BSGC offers members opportunities to develop their skills and deepen their understanding of music. The club also hosts events throughout the academic year that promote community, artistic expression, and a shared passion for music.

Math Club

The Math Club meets weekly during Bengal Pause and provides students with opportunities to explore mathematics and physics beyond the classroom. Meetings feature a variety of activities, including games, discussions of current topics, presentations from faculty, guest speakers, and student-led talks.

The organization encourages students to apply mathematical concepts to real-world situations while fostering a greater appreciation for math and physics. Through engaging discussions and educational programming, the Math Club supports intellectual curiosity, academic growth, and lifelong learning.

Psychology Club

The Psychology Club provides students with opportunities to explore the field of psychology beyond the classroom through workshops, guest speakers, and hands-on research experiences. The club hosts programs focused on graduate school preparation, including application materials, personal statements, résumés, and GRE guidance.

The organization also brings in professionals from a variety of psychology specialties, helping students learn about potential career paths and areas of study. Additionally, members have the opportunity to participate in an annual research project, gaining hands-on experience with the research process from development and data collection to analysis and presentation.

Student Political Society (SPS)

The Student Political Society (SPS) is a nonpartisan organization at Buffalo State University that promotes civic engagement, political awareness, and informed discussion on local, national, and global issues. Open to students of all majors and political perspectives, SPS encourages respectful dialogue and critical thinking through meetings, discussions, film screenings, guest speakers, and educational events.

The organization also connects students with public officials, professionals, and community leaders, providing opportunities for learning, civic engagement, and involvement in the political process.
